Syd (they/he/she) is a Michigan based Lighting Designer and Electrician. They have recently graduated from The University of Michigan with a BFA in Design and Production, with a concentration in Lighting Design. Syd takes great inspiration from the joys of human connection and emotion, as they believe that is what gives meaning to life. Their lighting design reflects this in its careful consideration of the audience's emotional journey, and how that impacts their reaction to the art. Syd is continually striving to have their lighting be joyful and progressive, hoping to leave the world a little better with each show.
